Moving away from his usual slouchy aesthetic, Wang’s autumn/winter 2012 collection focused on outerwear.
Manipulating fabrics was the ethos behind his collection, a theme that he had hinted at in an autumn preview.
The designer stuck to this principle with raincoats, biker jackets and chesterfield coats glistening under the runway lights. Each piece was texturised, slick or bubbling, and they all oozed 'come touch me' vibes.
Although more structured and refined, the collection still had that cool girl wearability appeal - a mid-calf length leather pencil skirt teamed with a quilted sweater, for example.
The futuristic theme of the collection was reiterated with netted polo necks that covered the models’ mouths.

Black, whites and burgundy were the dominating colours as Wang clashed leathers with delicate chiffons and silks.
With model favourites including Anja Rubik. Liu Wen, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Carmen Kass and Gisele Bundchen looking relaxed on the runway, it wasn't hard to imagine the collection being just as at ease off the catwalk, too.
