Being in a relationship can be wonderful, but it can also be hard work: as the saying goes, ‘love is a two-way street that is constantly under construction’. Whether you’ve been together for a few months or a few years, work commitments, kids or even just life can sometimes get in the way of romantic alone-time with your other half.
But, thanks to new London dating concierge service Secret Dates, falling into a dating rut with your partner could become a thing of the past. Launched this month, Secret Dates offers uniquely tailored dates based on the type of experience and date preferences that you submit.
With dates starting at £60 a person, it’s definitely not a replacement for your average dinner-and-a-film date, but Secret Dates instead offers fun and immersive activities and experiences for you and your date to do together.
This may sound slightly #quirky, but it isn’t some wild stab in the dark about what works for dates: Secret Dates has done its research, too. When trialling the service last year, they found that 77% of the people that he surveyed said that their ideal would be to do 'something fun'.
Secret Dates isn’t just for those already happily-coupled up, either. Offering opportunities to go to secret screenings to quirky dining spots, and only at ‘premium’ locations, it’s also perfect for planning a first date that makes a lasting (positive) impression. This is vital for founder Michael Boham, who said, ‘There’s nothing worse than having to plan date night when you are short on time or don’t know what your partner likes - I mean those early dates can be make or break for a new relationship!’
With the service open now in London (with plans to expand to the rest of the UK in due course) and Valentine’s Day fast approaching, on behalf of Secret Dates: you’re welcome.
