This is officially the UK's most annoying office phrase
FYI
FYI
It's no surprise that office politics can often result in a whole hog of adults using work jargon they don't quite understand just to make themselves sound smart - or to feel like they fit in to their professional environment.
Well, it turns out that buzzwords might actually be doing the opposite.
We already know the most overused words on LinkedIn and terrible marketing lingo we need to ditch immediately but what about the buzzwords that are falling out of favour?
According to jobs search site CV-Library, communication at the workplace is becoming a lot clearer and more concise.
The website quizzed 1,000 UK workers on their views around office jargon, and the results revealed which office phrase most Brits find the most annoying (one we're all guilty of using).
Over 74% of participants felt that their colleagues used office jargon in order to appear more intelligent in the workplace, whilst less than 35% admitted to doing so themselves on a regular basis.

Hmm... We have to admit that we kind of still like FYI because acronyms are pretty addictive and easy to use but 'thought shower' and 'run it up the flagpole' both sound like slightly terrifying euphemisms, right!?
Maybe it's a no brainer to get rid of some of them (sorry).
