The Pradasphere exhibition opened at Harrods with a suitably stylish cocktail party.

Pradasphere at Harrods opens tomorrow. It's ready and waiting for your fashion-hungry eyes, people.

Yesterday, amid the chaos of the London tube strikes, journalists, VIPs and celebrities descended on Harrods for the preview of the highly-anticipated exhibition which celebrates the history of Prada and the genius of its founder Miuccia Prada.

Last night, the likes of Daisy Lowe, Laura Bailey, Bip Ling, Jessie Ware and Samantha Barks attended an exclusive cocktail party on the Fourth Floor of Harrods.

The exhibition, which is essentially the museum of Prada and is as heavenly as it sounds, looks back over 25 years of groundbreaking fashion from the Italian game-changer.

And, what this retrospective does, more than anything, is remind you of what a total genius Miuccia Prada really is.

Marie Claire's Group Digital Editor, Kate Stephens, popped down to the opening of Pradasphere and was blown away by what she saw: 'It reminds you that Miuccia Prada's is a creativity that is so much broader than the 'fashion' label – this is genuinely fashion as art.'

The exhibition is dominated by six history museum-like glass displays which showcase key Prada looks by running themes rather than seasons (so, men's, women's, spring/summer, autumn/winter). This means you see pieces positioned next to each other which may have been designed 20 years apart.

The result is that you're able to get a real sense of what has driven and inspired Miuccia over the years. And it's fascinating.

The Pradasphere exhibition and window displays will run at Harrods from the 2 - 29 May.
