The dress that absolutely screams Scandi chic

We know dressing like the French seems to be everyone’s sartorial goal, but we reckon Scandi style can be just as chic (and while you’re at it, German fashion is worth the detour too, yes really).
It’s less dressy, more paired-back but cool nonetheless. I mean, all you need to do is look at what all the fashion editors and influencers wore at Copenhagen Fashion Week just recently.
One dress in particular we heard more than one of them mention (including Alex from The Frugality) was this checked maxi skirt by GANNI.
Shop now: GANNI Charron checked cotton-blend seersucker maxi dress for £225 from Net-A-Porter
In case you hadn’t heard of it before, it’s a family-run, Copenhagen-based label which has slowly but surely amassed a cult following of ‘Ganni Girls’.
The key to wearing this dress like the Scandi girls is to not think too hard about it. For now, wear it with a pair Berkinstocks or heeled Cloggs, and accessorise with a woven basket bag.

For next season, swap over for some white ankle boots a la Barbara Potts (founder of Saks Potts, pictured above), a black leather bag with metal handle, and a camel duster coat.
C'est tout.
