The tragic singer’s autumn/winter 2011 range for Fred Perry is posthumously released today
It was confirmed just a couple of weeks ago that the final two collections Amy Winehouse had designed for Fred Perry before her tragic death would be posthumously released, and today the autumn/winter 2011 range has gone on sale.
The pieces have hit the Fred Perry website accompanied by a statement from the British heritage brand that states: ‘After much consideration and with the blessing of Amy’s family, we have decided to release the AW11 Amy Winehouse for Fred Perry collection.’
The label goes on to praise the tragic singer’s ‘passionate’ and ‘dedicated’ contribution to the collaboration, which sees ‘her signature style clearly stamped across each piece’.
And it’s true, the collection is pure Amy. The 30-piece range is jam-packed with items in her trademark retro style – think ‘60s-inspired houndstooth mini skirts, black bodycon dresses, preppy cardigans, jumper dresses, tailored shorts and classic polo shirts.
The accessories are all top-notch too, with glossy patent bowling bags, houndstooth leather gloves, tasselled loafers and belts all featuring heavily.

The award-winning songstress also completed a spring/summer 2012 line, which will be released next year, with all royalties and fees from both collections donated to the Amy Winehouse Foundation – a charity set up by the singer’s father, Mitch, to help young people struggling with drug addiction.
