The singer has become the first ever artist to gain one billion hits through internet video streaming sites
Lady Gaga has officially cemented her status as bona fide worldwide music icon, by becoming the most watched artist online.

Beating the likes of Beyonce and Susan Boyle, Gaga has managed to become the first ever artist to notch up one billion hits online - through combining the viewing figures of just three of her successful singles.
While her debut track Just Dance gained 273 million views, follow-up single Pokerface has had over 375 million watches, and recent single Bad Romance racked-up an equally impressive 360 million hits.
Combined, the figure from those three vids stands at just over one billion according to analytics company Visible Measures - who looked at viewing numbers from sites such as Vevo and YouTube.
And Gaga's impressive rating doesn't even include the boyfriend-poisoning video Paparazzi, or her new monster mini-movie co-starring Beyonce, Telephone - which reportedly received an incredible 14 million views in just three days.
Not far behind the Lady in the viewing stakes are the trailers for the Twilight Saga, which have gained a combined 980 million hits, with online sensation Soulja Boy coming in third, with 860 million.
