It’s not uncommon for one of MAC’s collaborations to knock us sideways. Their Venomous Villains Collection? Love. Wonder Woman? That packaging! And, more recently, I’ve been loving the Brooke Shields collection – particularly the lipstick in Excite which is the most beautiful vibrant orange/red. I still even have the Mineralize Skin Finish in New Vegas from their hook-up Alexander McQueen in 2007. Seriously covetable stuff.
But, the most recent collaboration with the Rocky Horror Picture Show really is something else. The packaging, quite simply, is insanely good; glossy and black and emblazoned with that now iconic bitten lip (though it would have been even better to see Frank-N-Furter in his stockings lounging across a palette-or-two).
But despite the Frank-N-Furter shaped hole in the collection it’s still pretty amazing or, as the lyrics go, “It’s so dreamy.”

So, to the collection… punchy, Goth-like lippies in gorgeously dark and intense shades that we guarantee you’ll wear year-round.

For eyes; the collection includes the necessities to recreate Frank-N-Furter’s theatrical eye make-up (who would have thought we would be citing this guy as make-up inspo eh?).
Plus, irredscent – almost beetle-like – nail lacquers, a muted blush (the kind that miraculous works over all skin tones) with just a touch of something sparkly, and – of course – a Sculpt and Shape Powder because Frank-N-Furter wouldn’t be caught dead without his cheekbones.
MAC you’ve done it again, “They really drive you insane.” Quite frankly, your Halloween just won’t be fun without this but it's selling out fast.
