Can you guess?
If you're the kind of travel-hungry person who quite fancies a stint as a successful freelancer abroad one day, listen up: We have the answer you've been waiting for.
We recently revealed the happiest place to live in the UK, but now we've discovered the best city in the world to be a freelancer. Intrigued?
It's...
... Drum roll, please...
Portugal's capital city, Lisbon. Apparently, this is the best city to live in to achieve the elusive work-life balance (because, it's official, working from home makes you happier).
The findings come from a study by Dutch site Hoofdkraan, who published a list of the top ten best cities to work in as a freelancer. The UK does feature on the list, but not the city of London as you might first think. The cities are as follows:
- Lisbon, Portugal
- Miami, USA
- Seville, Spain
- Las Palmas, Spain
- New Orleans, USA
- Bristol, UK
- Marseille, France
- Bratislava, Slovakia
- Vancouver, Canada
- Porto, Portugal
So, take your pick, freelancers, because it looks like moving to Portugal is a great idea...
