Applying mascara seems pretty straight forward. You take the wand out, run the brush through your lashes from the root to tip and then repeat. Simple. But, how many times have you applied your mascara first layer of mascara, then followed up with the second layer of mascara, only to end up with what looks like three rather thick lashes on each eye lid. Even the best mascara can make your lashes cling onto each other like a baby monkey on its mother's back.
Fancy trying a new mascara but not sure where to start? Powder can match you with the best ones for you...
Thing is, clumpy mascara is a right pain in the arse. Once they're glued together, it's near impossible to disperse them. Which is why we're all over this mascara trick.
Known to some as the 'smush and pull' or simply, 'smushing', this way of applying your mascara ensures your lashes always look on fleek. You know, thicker, longer, fanned. And it's so simple!
All you have to do is hold your mascara wand at a 35-degree angle and prod your lashes towards the inner corner of your eye. Then, when you feel like they've been coated enough, pull your lashes back towards the outer corner of your eye. Also known as fanning them out.
If you feel like you need to repeat, go for it. Unlike the 'root-to tip' way of applying your mascara, this way doesn't clump. In fact it's fool proof.
