Our Beauty and Style Editor Cassie Steer on the two make-up looks she'll be trying come SS14.
Our Beauty and Style Editor Cassie Steer on the two make-up looks she'll be trying come SS14.
1. Make-up maestro Sharon Dowsett’s make-up inspiration for the Ashish SS14 show really tickled us: 'she’s a girl who’s doing the walk of shame down to Tesco with last night’s make-up still on. It’s where Tesco meets disco and M&S turns to S&M'. How could we resist trying this one at home?
2. Our hats are off to TIGI’s Global creative director Nick Irwin, who created the look at Mark Fast. His point of reference? 'Gothic warriors with a bit of Robert Smith thrown in' (those of you too young to know who Robert Smith is, hang your heads in shame now). Will we really be sporting badass ‘trashy synthetic wigs’ come SS14? Perhaps not, but hair that’s been backcombed to within an inch of its life (with the help of some TIGI Catwalk Your Highness Firm Hold Hairspray)? Hell yes.
