The Irish musician highlights the issue of domestic violence
Irish musician Hozier (Andrew Hozier-Byrne) has released a powerful new video starring the Oscar-nominated star of Brooklyn (and fellow Ireland-hailing talent), Saoirse Ronan.
The video for Hozier's single Cherry Wine
Take Me To Church, released in 2014, put the spotlight on marriage inequality in Ireland.
Hozier was a vocal campaigner in support of a yes vote for gay marriage in Ireland – and the country became the first to leagalise same-sex marriage by popular vote back in May 2015.
Hozier made this statement explaining why he has chosen to spotlight the problem of domestic abuse in his latest video:
“Domestic violence is an ongoing issue in our society, the statistics of which are shocking and the effects of which damage whole families, communities and span generations."
