While could-be president of the United States Donald J Trump may have stalled any plans you have to travel to his homeland, it's just got more difficult to touch down in the US.
Travelling to the United States is a bit of a faff at the best of times. But now, it's about to get a whole lot trickier, thanks to new passport restrictions at the border.
That's right, from now on you'll have more than your ESTA to worry about as American border security rules introduced on 1 April state that anyone travelling into the country for business or pleasure must hold a biometric passport.
Wait, what's a biometric passport? The fancy new one with the chip.
The UK only began issuing these new passports in 2006, so there's still a pretty large number of potential travellers whose old school passports have yet to reach the 10 year expiration date. In fact, there's around 2.7million of the, according to estimations by the Telegraph.
Bummer.
