Kate Middleton channels the military look as she joins husband Prince William on a royal visit to Birmingham
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge paid a visit to riot-hit Birmingham today to meet local residents and emergency service workers caught up in the violence.
Kate and Prince William visited a community centre in the city close to where three men were killed by a car driven by rioters during last week’s troubles.
And while the Duchess is a fan of recycling old outfits, she took the opportunity to wear something new and debut a new military-inspired look. She looked as polished and chic as ever in a cream silk blouse with navy blue lapels and a matching pencil skirt – both embellished with gold buttons – and her trusty blue courts. And her designer of choice? Alexander McQueen, of course.
The royal couple began their trip by having a private meeting with the parents of the three men who died, before chatting to local people and police at the Summerfield Community Centre in Winson Green.
Their visit comes just a day after Prince Harry made a similar trip to Salford in Manchester, which was also hit hard during the UK riots.
What do you think of Kate’s latest look? Do you like the military-inspired outfit? Or are you getting bored of her wearing Alexander McQueen? Tell us below.
