Princess Eugenie gives birth to a baby boy and announces it in the most millennial way
Congratulations!

Congratulations!
Congratulations are in order for Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank with the news that the couple have welcomed their first child, a baby boy, into the world earlier this morning.
The palace have released an official announcement, stating: 'Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie was safely delivered of a son today, 9th February 2021, at 0855hrs at The Portland Hospital. Jack Brooksbank was present. The baby weighs 8lbs 1oz.
'The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Duke of York, Sarah, Duchess of York, and Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank have been informed and are delighted with the news. This is Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's first child, The Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York's first grandchild, and the ninth great-grandchild for The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.'
Breaking with tradition as she did to announce her pregnancy back in 2020, Princess Eugenie shared a black and white photo to Instagram announcing the news, with a simple caption of blue love hearts.
The new arrival is now eleventh-in-line to the throne, after his mum Princess Eugenie.
News of the baby first broke after Eugenie took to Instagram (she is a Millennial, after all) posting two photographs - one of her holding a gorgeous pair of baby bear booties and another of the couple grinning, captioning the snap: 'Jack and I are so excited for early 2021'.

Announcing an official statement, Buckingham Palace confirmed the news.
'Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in early 2021,' the statement read. 'The Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York, Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank, The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh are delighted with the news.'
Since the announcement, there has unsurprisingly been speculation around when in 'early 2021' we can actually expect the new arrival.
