Prince William broke royal etiquette for the sweetest reason
And our hearts are breaking

And our hearts are breaking
Everyone has gotten together to support victims of the Grenfell Tower block fire. Celebrities have been helping out at Grenfell Tower (including Tom Hardy) and of course, the Royals paid their respects too.
Having visited the site of the fire last week, which has already been confirmed to have taken 79 lives, Prince William comforted a grieving woman by giving her a hug - despite the fact that 'members of the public are only allowed to shake hands with the royals.'
Prince Willian talked to firefighters and victims with Queen Elizabeth and having met a grieving woman, Prince William wrapped his arms around her and allowed her to bury her face in his chest while she cried. It's a powerful statement to show his support and obviously, humanity.
The reason this is making news today is because this archaic monarch rule dates back to the Middle Ages when monarchs were seen as 'close to gods' but it's worth noting that on the official monarchy website today, it states that there are 'no obligatory codes of behaviour when meeting The Queen or a member of the Royal Family.'
