The mother of the murdered landscape architect, Joanna Yeates, has volunteered to play her daughter in a TV reconstruction of her last known movements.
The mother of Joanna Yeates has volunteered to take on the role of her 25 year-old daughter in a filmed reconstruction of the landscape architect's last-known movements.
Theresa Yeates has offered to help with the short film, which is due to be shot over the next few days to help police with their ongoing investigations into the 25-year-old's murder, and will be shown on BBC’s Crimewatch later this month.
‘My wife looks a bit similar to Jo and would like to take part,’ said Theresa’s husband David yesterday. ‘I don’t know whether the police will involve us at all.
The family spoke of the daily trauma they have been forced to endure since the disappearance of Joanna. Her brother, Chris, said his sister’s death has left him in a 'surreal hole of despair'.
'The whole week seemed very unreal up to the time when Jo was found,' he said. 'I got to say a final emotional goodbye and the despair I had was replaced with a wave of deep sadness.'
As the family made another appeal for help in solving the murder investigation they said: 'We are currently living in a vacuum until we can put Jo to rest.'
The police revealed they were following new leads yesterday in the case of Miss Yeates who was reported missing by her boyfriend on the 17th December after he returned from a weekend away in Sheffield.
