Vivienne Westwood rallies the troops for 50th anniversary anti-nuclear march
Vivienne Westwood left her Easter eggs to one side yesterday and instead chose to join the anti-nuclear march to mark the 50th anniversary of the UK's first hydrogen bomb tests.
The designer braved the freezing conditions in her own inimitable style, dressed in a bright red plaid coat and a black and white headband which read 'BRANDED'.
In true Westwood style, the fashion icon was at the forefront of the march, taking centre stage to rally the troops.
She declared: 'Scientists have warned we are already over the breaking point and in 100 years there will be just one fifth of the world's population remaining. Nuclear weapons are all part of this and public opinion is the only thing we can use.'
