It was the night that Versus came to town and, let’s face it, we knew that Donatella Versace and creative director Anthony Vaccarello weren’t likely to do things quietly.
They brought a hyper-glossy dancefloor/ runway to the middle of London Fashion Week, hired a live band (The Strypes) and projected the iconic Versace emblem, well, everywhere they could really.
From FKA Twigs to Christopher Kane, all the coolest creative Brit talents turned out to celebrate, while on the catwalk, big-name models including Lily Donaldson, Malaika Firth and Binx Walton strutted their stuff under the strobe lighting.
The clothes bared all the markers of classic Versace – plenty of sexy black leather, lashings of silver studs and Medusa heads and slinky dresses that were slashed and spliced every which way.
Best of all, we can shop the entire Versus SS16 collection straight off the runway. These are the pieces we predict will sell out before we’ve even published our story…
