The fashion designer was honoured during a ceremony at Buckingham Palace
Stella McCartney collected her Officer of the British Empire (OBE) Award from the Queen at Buckingham Palace today, looking chic and reinforcing why she is the best poster girl for her brand.
Dressed in a bespoke navy skirt suit and velvet pumps from her eponymous label, teamed with a vintage platinum hairpiece by Cartier, the fashion designer was a real-life advert for her classic tailored designs.
Accompanied by husband Alasdhair Willis, who complemented her look by wearing a blue wool suit, the 41-year-old was presented with her prestigious award by Her Majesty at an Investiture Ceremony at the palace for services to the fashion industry.

The honour caps off a triumphant year for the designer. Her work with Adidas in dressing Team GB at last summer's London 2012 Olympics was a huge success and is understood to have been a key factor in her inclusion in the New Year's Honours List, which featured a whole host of other UK Games stars, while in November she scooped the Designer of the Year and Designer Brand of the Year prizes at the British Fashion Awards 2012.
Congratulations Stella!
