Royal wedding trend: nude shoes
Forget the dresses, the wedding of Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall was all about the shoes
Forget the dresses, the wedding of Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall was all about the shoes
Zara Phillips married Mike Tindall this weekend in a beautiful traditional white silk gown by the Queen’s own couturier, Stewart Parvin, but what really caught our attention while we were scanning the wedding pictures was the number of guests wearing nude shoes.
Whether it was just a coincidence or part of the wedding invite dress code, everyone, and we mean everyone, was wearing them.
The Duchess of Cambridge teamed her gold brocade Jane Troughton dress coat with her trusty nude L.K. Bennett courts, while princesses Beatrice and Eugenie both wore similar pump styles with their Angela Kelly skirt suits.
Even the older royals were getting in on the nude heels act. Mother of the bride, Princess Anne, wore nude courts, as did Sophie, Countess of Wessex, as well as Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall who wore a kitten heel pair.
And the other guests? Skeleton racer and Olympic gold medallist Amy Wiliams, Coronation Street star Katherine Kelly, and TV presenters Kirsty Gallacher, Natalie Pinkham and Alice Plunkett all wore nude heels.
So, if you’re heading to a wedding this summer and you’re stuck for shoe inspiration, you know what to do. Try L.K. Bennett, ASOS and Topshop for similar styles to get the regal wedding guest look.
