Oscar de la Renta has set up shop in the prestigious Berkeley Square
Oscar de la Renta has finally set up residency in the capital with the doors to his London shop opening last week. It took five years to secure the chicest of locations, and a Mayfair postcode, but the brand is now sitting pretty on the corner of Berkley Square.

The designer, famed for creating sculpted shapes and feminine forms, has unveiled the 3,000 square foot space – making it the brand’s largest yet. The new shop at 130 Mount Street is the 14th globally and third in Europe.
Former tenants include Nicky Clarke, who previously had his salon there, but it has now been transformed into a designer emporium. With floor-to-ceiling windows and three floors enticing you, and your credit card, you can easily get lost for hours.
As well as fashion, you can fawn over homewear and fragrances along with handbags, jewellery and accessories.
And if you ever leave the store, there are some suitably stylish neighbours, too, with brands including Nicholas Kirkwood, Lanvin and Christian Louboutin in close proximity.

The opening last week was a quiet affair, but the official unveiling is penned for sometime in the spring with de la Renta himself expected to attend.
