Everyone’s Wearing: Geek Chic

The trend began at Gucci, as creative director Alessandro Michele presented his nerdy new vision for the brand on the runway back in February. Pussy-bow blouses and granny print coats are the key pieces in his glam geek’s wardrobe, while Michael Kors and Chloe both championed professeur chic – elbow patches and all.
But, really, it’s all in the accessories. The beret is back, as is the beanie, and teamed with 90s tortoiseshell specs and clunky retro loafers for the full Where’s Wally effect.

Kendall Jenner and Emily Ratajkowski have clearly been doing time in the library and are leading the stars taking on the trend in real life. Both have started working kooky-cool accessories into their existing model-off-duty wardrobes (who even knows if either actually needs glasses?) and are experimenting with awkward proportions - think high waist trousers and oversized, slouch knits.
Margot Tenenbaum is the pin-up to Google - it's her eccentric mix of fluffy coats, stripy polo tops and off-kilter accessories that the fash pack want.
