In the wake of John Galliano's recent arrest for alleged anti-Semitic comments, a model made a statement during his presentation in Paris yesterday by sporting a Star of David tattoo.

Over the last couple of weeks, John Galliano's world has spiralled out of control.
First up, came the arrest in Paris, after the Brit designer was accused of allegedly making aggressive anti-Semitic comments to a couple in a bar. This was shortly followed by a video of a second incident, showing the fashion guru drunkenly praising Hitler.
French fashion house Dior were quick to fire Galliano immediately, condemning his 'odious behaviour', while Oscar-winning Jewish actress Natalie Portman - and face of Dior's new fragrance - spoke out to instantly cut all ties with the disgraced designer.
So with Galliano now reportedly away in a rehab facility, it was announced that while the latest Dior show would go ahead as planned, his own-name label show would be scrapped in favour of a much smaller presentation.

But there was a glimmer of hope for the 50-year-old - debuting yesterday, and despite only featuring 19 pieces, the John Galliano Autumn/Winter 2011 collection, for the most part, received rave reviews.
To a soundtrack which included Coldplay's Viva La Vida - and the pointed line 'I used to rule the world,' - the intimate presentation took place in front of just 100 guests.
But there was a serious statement on the arm of one super - a noticeable Star of David tattoo etched on her upper arm - perhaps in protest of the allegations made against the designer whose clothes she was showcasing.
Whether the appearance of the Jewish symbol was intentional, or just a mere coincidence, we're not entirely sure. But either way, it certainly added to the uneasy atmosphere of the entire spectacle.
