With New York Fashion Week starting today, the A-list flocked to the Big Apple last night to kick off the party schedule in style at the launch of Prabal Gurung's collection for Target.
British actress Carey Mulligan was the star guest at the designer/high street collaboration event, looking relaxed but chic in a black winter coat with leather panels, a blush pink top, tailored black trousers and classic pumps.
CAREY MULLIGAN: STYLE HIGHS & LOWS
The Great Gatsby star rubbed shoulders with the likes of fellow actresses Elizabeth Olsen and Rashida Jones, as well as the designer himself at the party held on the eve of the New York Fashion Week shows.
The fun and colourful 80-piece range, which will feature shoes, handbags and jewellery on top of the usual clothing items, was presented as part of a kitsch Americana set design, which included movie theatre billboards, tubs of cinema popcorn and old school 3D glasses.
Prabal Gurung is the latest star designer to collaborate with the US high street giant. He follows in the footsteps of Jason Wu and Missoni, who have all teamed up with Target in the past.
