Olympic fans are grabbing a slice of history in Britain's biggest ever sale of sporting memorabilia
The London 2012 Olympics may have come and gone, but there's a solution for those of us still suffering withdrawal.
Remains of the Games is Britain's biggest ever sale of sporting memorabilia, where fans are snapping up anything from furniture used in the Olympic Village to rakes used to level the sand during the beach volleyball matches.
The website was set up to sell one million pieces of furniture and fixtures used by athletes and officals, and thousands of items, including nearly 6,900 beanbags, have been sold.
There are also £99 sets on sale, which include a bed, a mattress, a bedside table and a lamp used by Olympians during the games, with the possibility of Usain Bolt or Jessica Ennis having slept in one of the beds proving to be a big draw.
Paul Levn, head of operations, says: 'The whole thing has taken off like crazy. We can not believe what was going on.
'The scale is awesome. All the talk about the largest logistical operation in peacetime is true. I have never seen anything like it.'
