Thirteen-year-old Rebecca Black has become an overnight phenomenon after her single, Friday, dubbed by many as 'the worst song ever,' racked up an amazing 29 million views on YouTube.

The budget hit has attracted mass attention on the internet, after being posted on a comedian’s blog, with the caption: 'Songwriting isn’t for everyone.'
Standout lyrics include: 'It's Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday, everybody's looking forward to the weekend. Partying, partying, partying. Fun, fun, fun, fun. Looking forward to the weekend.'
Indeed, the song has been so heavily criticised that it has received up to 248,050 dislikes and has become a major trending topic on Twitter. Although now Tweeters are generally questioning: 'Why is Rebecca Black still trending?!'
The precocious singer told ABC’s Good Morning America: 'When I first saw all these nasty comments I did cry. I felt like this was my fault and I shouldn't have done this and this is all because of me. Now I don't feel that way.'
After all the criticism she has received, it seems she may have the last laugh, with Friday now at number 25 on the iTunes chart.
When asked who she would most like to perform with, the answer was obvious. 'I have Bieber fever,' she said.
