Rihanna sparks a style debate with her £885 Gucci socks

Sure she’s one of the biggest musicians in the world, but Rihanna also moonlights as a fashion blogger on Instagram and can make any trend, no matter how polarising, look appealing.

The same style star who brought us denim-on-denim-on-denim, rain jackets for your feet and fairy godmother couture (on a Tuesday), is now wearing crystal covered stocking socks, and pulling them off with ease.

Rihanna’s latest #OOTD shot shows her wearing a pair of socks that cost more than most people’s rent: the newly available Gucci Knit socks featuring a crystal interlocking G pattern and a price tag of £885.

The singer teamed the mid-calf stockings with a sassy pair of pointy white heels, a slinky black dress and an oversized jacket.

Rihanna also opened up the ongoing "socks with heels” debate, but in true BadGal fashion, she pulled off the look.
