Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding will be streamed live on the royal YouTube channel on April 29th, a Clarence House spokesperson confirmed yesterday.

It’s thought the extra-special live stream will also be accompanied be a live multi-media blog put together by St James’s Palace, which will allow viewers to click on links providing extra information at key points during the special service.
The live YouTube feed will run from 10am on the big day – one hour before the service begins – until 2pm, and cover every aspect of William and Kate’s wedding.
Reports suggest the royal couple have played a large part in planning the online coverage of their nuptials, and want their big day to be accessible to as many people as possible.
‘We wanted people to be able to interact with the Royal Wedding as they watch it,’ a spokesman for the couple revealed in a statement yesterday.
‘Prince William and Catherine Middleton are like any other people their age in respect of social media.
‘They are Facebook users and YouTube users…and their intention has always been that their wedding should be accessible to everyone.’
Clarence House also confirmed there will be live Facebook and Twitter updates from royal insiders during the day.
They also announced plans to release an official ‘video wedding book’ where well-wishers can leave messages of congratulation for the couple, alongside an official Royal Wedding App, encouraging people to show how they are celebrating the special event.
Bringing the royal family bang up to date, the royal wedding website - officialroyalwedding2011.org - includes all the latest news on William and Kate’s nuptials, as well as footage – hosted via the famous family’s new YouTube channel – of the couple’s latest interviews, and recent engagements.
And with just eight days (and counting!) we won’t have long to wait.
