The star could be set to earn a whopping $1 million for his small cameo role – which could boil down to just a two-minute appearance – according to the Sun.
After being dogged by budget and location problems, its thought work on the new flick is set to start soon, for release in December next year.
The Office star Martin Freeman has been confirmed to play Bilbo Baggins, with Dominic Monaghan, Andy Serkis and Sir Ian McKellen all confirmed to appear.
It’s thought Elijah Wood and Cate Blanchett could also return, although the film’s final line-up has yet to be confirmed.
