Actress Natasha Richardson may have suffered brain damage in tragic holiday accident
Natasha Richardson may have suffered brain damage in a tragic skiing accident, American and Irish news sources are reporting.
The actress, who was due to star alongside her mother, Vanessa Redgrave, on Broadway soon, was on holiday in Canada when the accident happened. Husband Liam Neeson has left the film set where he was working to be by her side.
'Liam Neeson left the Toronto set immediately to fly to Montreal upon news of his wife's accident,' a representative for the movie Chloe said in a statement. 'We do not have any details at this time but we hope for the best and our thoughts and prayers are with Natasha and Liam and their family.'
There is no official news on the extent of Natasha's injuries, although some sources claim her head injury could be life threatening.
She is currently in the Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur de Montréal having been transferred from Centre Hospitalier Laurentien near Mont Tremblant where she was first taken after the accident.
