Christina reveals she was too 'petrified' for natural birth
Christina Aguilera has revealed that she was so terrified of giving birth naturally that she opted for a cesarean section.
In an interview with Hello magazine, accompanying the first pictures of son Max Liron, Aguilera commented 'I'd heard horror stories about tearing. I really wanted a calm and peaceful environment. I didn't want any surprises.'
Opening up about her experience of being a new mum, the Back to Basics singer gushed, 'We can't stop staring at him. We study him, he studies us back. It's just an unbelievable experience, the whole journey. It's just a beautiful time in our lives.'
She also revealed that her son would not just have an impact on her life, but on her music aswell. 'This whole incredible thing that’s taken part in my life, between the pregnancy and the birth, I’ve got so much to be inspired about and so much in my life to write about. I’ve been brainstorming for the last nine months of my pregnancy. This next album will have a whole new me.'
Max Liron Bratman was born on 12th January, and is the first child for Christina and her husband Jordan.
