Elton John has yet another dig at Madonna at this year's Golden Globes
Madonna and Elton John's seven-year feud showed no signs of cooling at last night's Golden Globe awards.
The pair came head-to-head in the best original song category – Madonna for Masterpiece from her film W.E, Elton for Hello Hello from the animated film Gnomeo and Juliet.
When asked during his red carpet interview what he thought his rival's chances of winning the prestigious accolade were, he responded by saying; 'Madonna doesn't have a f***ing chance of winning tonight.'
When the reporter asked if 'those were fighting words?' he replied: 'No, those are accurate words.'
It was Madonna who had the last laugh, though, when she defied Elton's prediction and scooped the award.

GOLDEN GLOBES: THE AFTER PARTIES
As the 53-year-old took to the stage to accept her gong, the camera panned to Elton, 64, who was sat in the audience looking decidedly stony faced.
Elton's partner, David Furnish, was clearly furious that Madonna has beaten Elton and took to his Facebook page to vent. He wrote: 'Madonna. Best song???? F**k off!!!
'Madonna winning Best Original Song truly shows how these awards have nothing to do with merit. Her acceptance speech was embarrassing in it's narcissism. And her critisism of Gaga shows how desperate she really is.' (sic)
Elton and Madonna's ongoing row started in 2004 when Elton accused Madge of miming after she won a Best Live Act award at the GQ Awards.
He declared: 'Madonna, best f**king live act? F*** off! Since when has lip-synching been live?'
