The good looking pair split in June after the rugby pro signed to Melbourne Rebels, which was said to be causing arguments by friends.
Their age gap, with model Kelly being seven years older than 23-year-old Danny, was also rumoured to be affecting the relationship.
But it seems the sparks are still flying between the two, after Kelly flew halfway across the world to see Danny just weeks ago.
The rugby star made a ‘big effort’ to make up with her, sources claim, adding her 'heart melted' when she jetted out to spend time with her former beau.
A friend told the Sunday Mirror, 'She's had her heart melted a little and went out to see him a couple of weeks ago. They're talking to see if there's any way they can work things out.'
Both Danny and Kelly have been linked to possible new love interests in the last few months, with Ms Brook being linked to Glee star Matthew Morrison, and the sporting star caught on camera flirting with 90210’s Jessica Lowndes.
