Duchess Kate Wears Maternity Label Madderson

Kate Middleton has met with artist Grayson Perry this afternoon to open a new art room at Barlby Primary School.

Now 5 months pregnant, the Duchess chose a navy maternity mini-dress with print trims by London label Madderson. It’s the first time we’ve ever seen Kate in the maternity brand, founded by Sara Madderson and Helen Hughes in 2012.

Zara Phillips and Holly Willoughby have both previously clad their bumps in the label, which aims to elevate maternity wear and make dressing a changing figure more exciting.

‘I think what makes us different is that we start with shapes, colours and prints you’d typically see in non-pregnant wardrobes and design from there,’ Sara previously said, explaining what sets their label apart from other maternity offerings. ‘We also use premium fabrics such as silk, and embrace pops of colour and the use of detailing, such as an amazing tweed trim on a dress,’ she told SheerLuxe.com.

‘We offer a new level of sophistication and glamour to what most people perceive is possible in maternity wear,’ Helena added.
