Fuelling rumours an engagement announcement could be just around the corner, Kate Middleton’s parents Carole and Michael Middleton were spotted enjoying a Royal weekend away on the Queen’s Balmoral estate over the weekend.

Prince William was thought to be hosting his annual ‘country pursuits’ weekend at Prince Charles’s private Birkall residence in the Queen’s grounds alongside girlfriend Kate.
And for the first time ever, he decided to invite his in-laws-to-be, sparking some to suggest it is only a matter of time before William and Kate tie the knot.
It’s thought Prince Charles and the Queen would both have approved the exclusive invite, although neither attended the occasion.
‘William and Kate do go up to Balmoral quite a bit, but inviting her parents is a big deal,’ one insider told the Daily Mail. ‘This is virtually confirmation they’re his in-laws-to-be.
'That they should be guests at a shooting party should not be underestimated,’ another added. ‘This is the Middletons being taught to be able to join the royals at play.’
Kate’s parents were spotted receiving private shooting lessons on a blustery Scottish hillside over the weekend, in preparation for joining the rest of the party for a day’s stalking during the event.
Just last week, sources revealed Prince William could be set to propose to Kate at Christmas, after asking the Queen’s permission.
‘Even though Wills and Kate are unofficially engaged, asking the Queen's permission is an important traditional step for William’ Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine revealed.
It’s thought the pair already have several dates in mind for the nuptials, which are expected to take place next summer.
