Latino popstrel Jennifer Lopez had reportedly signed a whopping $12 million deal to take up a place American Idol’s famous judging panel.
The star will be stepping into the shoes of US chat show host Ellen Degeneres, who quit the hit show after just one season, telling bosses the job ‘didn’t feel like the right fit,’ for her.
Rumours that J-Lo could be in the running for the revered spot on the panel first surfaced months ago, with reports suggesting the star was desperately trying to secure a place on the famous show.
But then talk emerged that Jen had made one diva demand too many – she reportedly wanted film and TV deals from FOX alongside the American Idol contract - and bosses had ruled her out of the running.
Now it seems La Lopez is back in favour, and is set to take up a place on the show.
