The 14 highest paid actors ALL earn more than the highest paid actress...
Last week Forbes revealed its annual highest paid actresses list, with Emma Stone bagging the top spot, with an annual take of £20.1 million before tax.
She was joined in the top five by Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Lawrence, Melissa McCarthy and Mila Kunis, all taking at least £12 million this year.
This week Forbes revealed the highest paid actors, and as predicted, there was a significant gender wage gap.
Mark Wahlberg was crowned 2017's highest paid actor, taking in £53 million this year - almost triple the income of Hollywood' highest paid actress.
Dwayne Johnson, coming in first place last year, was bumped down to second, earning a whopping £50 million.
Also in the top five are Vin Diesel (£42.5 million), Adam Sandler (£39.3 million) and Jackie Chan (£38 million).

Next came a mixture of Hollywood and Bollywood stars - Robert Downey, Jr. (£37.4 million), Tom Cruise (£33.5 million), Shah Rukh Khan (£29.6 million), Salman Khan (£28.8 million) and Akshay Kumar (£27.6 million).
Chris Hemsworth came eleventh, followed by Tom Hanks, Samuel L. Jackson and Ryan Gosling, before a woman would even feature if the two lists were combined.
'The top 10 actors banked a cumulative $488.5 million—nearly three times the $172.5 million combined total of the 10 top-earning women,' explained Associate Editor of Forbes Natalie Robehmed. 'While only three actresses made more than $20 million in 12 months, 16 actors broached the mark.'
The revelation has opened a much needed conversation about the pay disparity, with more figures expected to emerge about the invisible gender pay gap in Hollywood, affecting directors, producers, writers and others working behind the scenes.
We can't think of a better time than now to open this conversation and address the issue.
