Harry Potter fans across the globe are coming together to offer their thoughts and prayers to one of the franchise's actors, who has been involved in a horrific car accident.
The actor and comedian, Jim Tavaré, is best known for his part in the third movie instalment, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
A head-on collision has reportedly left the British performer with 15 broken ribs, a broken neck and a punctured lung.
Jim, originally from Essex but based in Los Angeles, is currently in intensive care and his wife, Laura, has been updating fans on Facebook.
'He's had 2 blood transfusions so far and is about to go in for his first surgery,' she wrote.
'This is for real, not a movie role. Please hold some good thoughts for him as he fights his way out of this.'
As well as messages of support from fans, celebrities like David Baddiel and Justin Poorhouse have been coming forward to send their well wishes.
Jim, who trained at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, played the role of Tom the Innkeeper in the third Harry Potter movie.
