The songstress performed from inside a giant shell as the models hit the catwalk
Florence and the Machine singer Florence Welch put in a shimmering performance in Paris yesterday, as she sung from inside a giant seashell at Chanel’s under-water themed spring/summer show.
Always the hottest ticket in town, fashionistas flocked from far and wide to see what Karl Lagerfeld had in store for spring, and marvel at the scene-stealing show.
And scene-stealing it certainly was. Guests were met by a sandy white sea bed, giant corals and a scattering of pearls at the sweeping Grand Palais, which had been transformed over night into an underwater playground.
The piece de résistance? (Aside from the swoon-worthy catwalk styling, obviously). The soundtrack.
Dressed head-to-toe in shimmering Chanel,Florence Welch sung out as the models hit the catwalk, perched inside a giant oyster shell like a pretty pearl.

The Brit singer even took a turn on the catwalk, closing the show to applause on the arm of Karl Lagerfeld.
Simply stunning.
