David and Victoria have reportedly asked the ‘honoured’ Desperate Housewife
David and Victoria Beckham have asked close friend and Desperate Housewife Eva Longoria to play Godmother to their first baby girl, due on July 4, according to reports.

Insiders say Eva is ‘honoured’ to have landed the special role, and delighted to become an honorary member of the Beckham clan.
‘Victoria ran it past David and they both want Eva,’ one insider told the Sun.
‘She's extremely honoured.’
But lovely Ms Longoria is not the first famous godparent to be chosen by the Hollywood couple.
Elton John and Elizabeth Hurley are godparents to David and Victoria’s first two children, Brooklyn and Romeo.
It’s thought Eva beat off stiff competition from the several of the coupe’s other famous friends, including Heidi Klum and Seal, and Gordon and Tana Ramsay, after forming a close friendship with Mrs B when the starlet first moved to America.
The famous BFF’s have been spied on several outings, and even starred in an advertising campaign together – for LG’s Touch phone - with Posh reportedly helping Eva through her divorce from sports star Tony Parker.
Eva also threw Victoria a lavish baby shower at swanky Hollywood hotel Petit L'Ermitage, attended by LA’s finest - including Demi Moore, Selma Blair, Rachel Zoe and Nicole Richie
And it seemed an awful lot of fun was had by the A-list guests - including a hilarious game which involved making dresses out of toilet paper, before they showered the new mum with pink-themed gifts.
