Beyonce wouldn't do such a thing, would she?
There are disturbing reports doing the rounds that Beyoncé, yes, Queen Beyoncé, lip-synced her performance of the national anthem during Barack Obama's inauguration.
'It cannot be,' we hear you cry.
Well, a spokeswoman from the band, which accompanied Beyoncé at Obama's inauguration on Monday, has claimed to The Times that the singer did not actually sing the Star Spangled Banner live.
This spokeswoman for the Marine Corp Band reckons that the lovely Bey made her decision at the last minute to go with a pre-recorded version of the song.

'We pre-recorded all music as a matter of course and have done since time immemorial,' she said. 'This is our 54th inauguration…There is no question of there not being any music – it’s not because the performer cannot do it.'
But hang on a minute, doesn't that simply prove that the band weren't playing live? And, why did Beyoncé rip out her earpiece half way through her rousing rendition, if she was miming? We think you should watch this video below, which seems to show Bey singing over a backing track, but singing live nonetheless.
What do you reckon? Did Beyoncé mime, or was she simply singing over a backing track? Let us know in the comment box below.
