David and Victoria Beckham sent a special message of congratulations to the Queen this weekend

David and Victoria Beckham joined in the Diamond Jubilee celebrations from America over the weekend, by sending the Queen their very own message of congratulations.

The footballer and his fashion designer wife recorded the special video at their home in Los Angeles.

In true Beckham style, David and Victoria were oh-so-stylish for their video message, with David in a charcoal suit, and Victoria in a nude dress of her own design.

Sporting her favoured hairstyle of late, the messy side-plait, Victoria smiled at the camera, while David gave the Jubilee message.

‘I’d just like to say from us, me, Victoria, our family and the entire country, congratulations Your Majesty,' he said.

The couple have met members of the Royal Family on several occasions, and struck up a friendship with Prince William and Kate Middleton which saw them bag invitations to the Royal Wedding last year.

Victoria also met the Queen and Prince Charles after taking to the stage at the Royal Variety Performance with the Spice Girls, which David became close to Prince William during as they supported the UK's failed bid to host the World Cup in 2018.
