The pictures could easily have ended up in the national news had they fallen into the wrong hands.
Luckily, an honest passer by found the family snaps first, and handed them straight to the manager at Plymouth station.
The train worker then turned detective, tracking down Chris's father Anthony and returning the photos safe and sound.
‘I'd like to thank him very much for tracing me,' the relieved star's father revealed.

This is the second time Chris Martin has hit the headlines this week.
Just yesterday the star did a U-turn on his Glee ban, telling show bosses he would allow Coldplay's tracks to be used in a special episode.
Chris originally forbid the show to use the band's songs, but seems to have had a sudden change of heart, even apologising for holding back their tracks.
