Cheryl Cole managed to keep her marriage to Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini secret for a week but would have kept quiet about the nuptials for much longer if she'd had her way.
Chatting to Radio 1's Greg James yesterday, Cheryl said she decided to share her wedding news on Instagram after it was leaked.
'I would have actually kept it that way [secret] but unfortunately it was leaked,' she told the DJ, adding: 'But I'm glad it's out there.'
She and Jean-Bernard tied the knot earlier this month on the island of Mustique in front of a handful of guests, but got all their family and friends together for a big celebratory bash in London on Monday.
Cheryl refused to give away any other information about her new man, only saying that she was 'happy' and revealing that she didn't have a hen do.
