Cate Blanchett looked red hot as she hit the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards

Cate Blanchett isn’t one to shy away from a fierce fashion move and she proved her style powers once again as she arrived at the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards in Armani Prive on Tuesday night.

Cate lit up the awards with a fiery red sequined dress with a bold black trim. The floor-length frock featured a plunging neckline and capped sleeves with an Asian-inspired curve that added a little attitude to the look.

For a finishing touch, the star added black drop earrings and wore her hair away from her face, letting her dress do all the talking with minimal, natural-looking make-up.

Joining Cate on the AACTA red rug was Nicole Kidman who opted for a sunny shade while on home turf. Clad in a Erdem strapless dress, she shone in front of the cameras in a lemon hue.

Gemma Arterton completed the fashion line-up in a metallic lilac gown, also by Erdem. She worked the look with navy and red heels and a pop of hot pink on her lips.
