Billie's Secret Diary to be made into movie

The Brit TV show is getting a silver screen outing, after becoming a huge hit in the States

Billie Piper could be taking her Secret Diary of a Call Girl to Hollywood, as the hit TV show is being developed into a movie.

As Piper works on the final series of the raunchy show, in which she plays high-class call girl Belle, she has revealed that a film is now in the works, after the show became a huge hit in the States.

Speaking to The Sun this week, Piper revealed: 'I'm about to start filming the fourth series and then that will be it.

'I'm not sure it has legs past four seasons so we're trying to develop a movie.'

The will be Billie's silver screen debut, and movie execs are reportedly hoping that the franchise might see a similar success to Sex and the City.

A source told the paper: 'The book has been a worldwide success and the TV show has been a hit on both sides of the Atlantic, a movie is the next obvious step.

'Billie's career would skyrocket if the movie took off. It's the springboard she needs to take her talent to the States.'
