With an incredible year of cinematic offerings from Hollywood it’s hardly surprising that the likes of Jennifer Lawrence (Silver Linings Playbook) and Jessica Chastain made it into the Leading Actress category and they weren’t alone. Following rather fashionably behind are Anne Hathaway (Les Miserables) and Amy Adams (The Master) who received nods for Supporting Actress.
But it’s not just the girls who are flying the flag for the US, Ben Affleck (Argo) and Bradley Cooper (Silver Linings Playbook) made it into the Leading Actor shortlist while Philip Seymour Hoffman (The Master) and Tommy Lee Jones (Lincoln) feature in the Supporting Actor line up.
