The actress showed off her short 'do on the red carpet for the first time

Anne Hathaway has been a little shy about showing off her pixie crop in public until now.

Last night the actress was all smiles as she attended the Lapham's Quarterly Annual Gala in New York with her fiance Adam Shulman.

The 29-year-old looked radiant and seemed to have adjusted to her daring new look.

ANNE HATHAWAY'S STYLE HIGHS AND LOWS

Hathaway has lobbed off her locks for her role in the film adaptation of Les Miserables, which she stars in alongside Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe and the gorgeous Eddie Redmayne.

Along with her drastic new haircut, the actress has been asked to drop two dress sizes for the part.

She plays dying prostitute Fantine in the movie and is apparently consuming just 500 calories per day in order to drop down to a size six.
