Adele has been asked to write and record the new James Bond theme-tune to co-release with the new James Bond film next year.
It has been reported the British songstress is working on a lead soundtrack song for the next James Bond movie.
After her chest infection, the 23-year-old took a week off from touring which was when she began to write the track with producer Paul Epworth.
The Mercury-Award nominated singer will follow the likes of Shirley Bassey, Sir Paul McCartney, Alicia Keys and Tina Turner who have all lent their voices to Bond songs in the past.
With Adele’s track record film-producers must know it’s going to be a belting theme-tune with a guaranteed a chart position, and hopefully a better success than Madonna and the White Stripes' poor Bond-song attempts.
The James Bond team have obviously taken note from Adele’s number-named albums ‘19’ and ‘21’ as the new spy film is currently titled ‘23’.
